Later this week we’re California-bound for the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association’s (NEMRA) 42nd annual conference. In keeping with tradition, we’re hosting a short countdown to the conference on the blog this week to help attendees prepare.
As you’re getting ready to leave for California, keep this checklist of 10 last-minute preparation tips in mind:
- Follow NEMRA on Twitter and join their LinkedIn Group for event updates.
- Review the conference agenda and decide which educational sessions you’ll attend.
- Review the sales meeting schedule and booth assignments.
- Organize your meeting schedule with NEMRA’s meeting planner tool.
- Glance over the attendee list and highlight who you’d like to meet. Then, shoot them an email, Twitter direct message or LinkedIn invitation to ask them if they’re interested in connecting during their free time.
- Stock up on business cards, and don’t forget to pack your phone and laptop chargers.
- Be prepared to follow up with your new connections after the conference.
- Save the date for the 2013 and 2014 conferences in Chicago and Atlanta.
