Madison Electric Products Introduces Two Patent-Pending Smart Tools

Cleveland, OH – Madison Electric Products introduces two patent-pending, time-saving tools: the
Hollow Shanx Power Nut Driver and the Tracer Tool. Both tools are part of Madison Electric’s
“Smart Tools” line – designed to help contractors increase efficiencies and cut costs.

The 9/16” Hollow Shanx Power Nut Driver, when attached to a drill, increases both speed and
ease in driving 3/8" SAE nuts, bults, anchors and threaded rod. Each shank is hollow to the
maximum depth permitted by the construction of the tool, and has a collect drive shank to permit
its use in a collect drive chuck. Fitting all conventional drill chucks, the Hollow Shanx Power Nut
Driver is available in 3”, 6” and 12” lengths.

Madison Electric Products is also rolling out the Tracer Tool, which accurately traces 2” x 3” metal
old work box outlines on surfaces for proper installation in walls. Small and easy to use, the
tracer is made of durable plastic with rubber backing for turning ease and improved pliability to
surfaces when tracing. The tool offers bull’s-eye accuracy and can be used vertically or
horizontally. The Tracer Tool was designed and invented by an electrician.

“We’re starting 2011 by introducing tools that will streamline work processes and help
contractors cut costs,” said Brad Wiandt, president of Madison Electric Products. “We know
everyone is working hard to keep costs low and we want to do our part.”

Both tools are now available for purchase.
